What a Second Brain actually is
It’s a folder of markdown files, and that’s the whole secret. Markdown is just plain text with light formatting. The AI reads these files, understands you from them, and writes new ones for you. You give the direction, the AI does the file work, and you rarely, if ever, edit a file by hand.
Three pieces make it work. The files are the source of truth. An editor lets you and the AI see the files: Claude Code in your terminal, VS Code, or Cowork in your browser. The AI reads and writes those files.
Everything else is detail. It lives on your computer, it’s yours to keep, and if you switch tools tomorrow, it moves with you.

We start with an audit, not a build. A short paid engagement where we sit together, walk through your real processes, and map where your knowledge actually lives today. You leave with a plan; whether we build the brain together after that is your call.
We build in your own private repository, from day one. Your brain lives in a separate private GitHub repo that both of us can access. It is never nested inside ours. You own it, you keep it, and if the engagement ends, you walk away with everything.
We fill it from what’s already there. Your existing decks, product docs, key writing, transcripts, corrections. The brain is built from your material, not generic AI content. You give direction, we do the file work.
We leave you with a system, not a dependency. You keep working the brain after we’re gone.
